And the Beat Goes On -- CSSA Once Again Selected
As Best State Association by ISS Readers
If an NFL team had won five of the last six Super Bowls it would be considered a dynasty. The California Self Storage Association has been selected as the Best State Association in the Inside Self-Storage readers poll -- again. The 2016 voting result was just announced and the CSSA’s selection means it has claimed the award in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and now this year. And while the CSSA is anything but a dynasty, it is riding a nice hot streak.
The victory is certainly appreciated but not taken for granted by CSSA executive director Erin King. In fact, King feels that it is only through hard work, keeping a vision for the future and an endless pursuit of excellence that the CSSA is able to attain the lofty standards that it sets for itself.
“Many thanks to the people who voted for us in the ISS reader’s poll,” said King. “I think it is a reflection that we are staying on the correct course with our programs and constantly trying to do what is right and benefits the industry. Times are always changing and we try to not only keep up, but stay ahead of the curve.”
The ISS Best of Business Award winners were announced August 1, and they will be highlighted in the November print edition of ISS magazine. The winners will also be honored with a special commemorative plaque at the ISS World Expo in Las Vegas, April 10-13, 2017.
“It means so much to us at the CSSA to be honored like this,” added King. “To have won the award five of the last six years is amazing. There are so many other terrific state associations out there, some of whom we work closely with to create opportunities for our members. The Tri-State Conference that we do with the Arizona and Nevada state associations in October is a prime example.”
The CSSA is among the most active and involved state associations in the country. It’s efforts to gain favorable self storage legislation, to educate its members on the latest trends in the industry and to hold special gatherings from one end of California to the other contribute to its reputation as one of the best state associations in the USA.
