Weyen M Burnam

Born in to the business, literally, our first location was built the year I was born and is still under our control. I have been situated mainly in the Real Estate portion of the business, acquiring, developing, converting, expanding, and maintaining our portfolio as it grew from 7 locations in the US to now over 350 location in 3 countries. I am also a residential Real Estate broker with my license for over 20 years, helping transact single and multi-family projects in our local community as well as manage our smaller portfolio of commercial leasing assets.

I have been a part of the CSSA Leg/Reg and MarCom committees for around 5 years and our company has participated in the organization for much longer.

I have been in the storage business all my life as part of multiple family storage businesses dating back to the mid 1970’s. During my tenure with StorageMart, starting in 1999, I have had the opportunity to participate in the reimagining of a vision started by my grandfather in the early days of our industry. He was very opportunistic and favored the phrase ‘don’t let good be the enemy of perfect’ which has driven many of our decisions during the challenging periods of growth. This is an adage I take to heart and consider as part of every decision making process I’m part of.

I am the proud father of 3 children (21, 19, 16) and husband of my wonderful wife Ashley, who graciously supports my time volunteering for organizations like this who are doing the work that is needed.
