Self Storage Women Step Up!
Just two months ago, an idea was hatched – to start a women’s group within the CSSA organization. In those two short months, 14 women have stepped up and formed a newly approved “CSSA Women In Storage” group within CSSA. The women have already held 3 meetings in just 2 months, chose their name, and discussed ideas for the future of this group.
At the recent CSSA 21st Annual Self Storage Owners Summit, they held a networking activity, signing up an additional 30+ interested women to this effort. The group has expressed a desire for this to be more than an opportunity at CSSA functions, and plans to develop mentoring, webinars, and other networking opportunities. Dr. Janice Thompson, CSSA member and business coach, will be taking this group through an exercise to decide on their Purpose, Mission, Goals, and how to measure success.
Christina Rita with StoragePRO and Susan Hovey with Strategic Property Management will co-chair this committee. CSSA’s own staff team of Rochelle Morales and Remy McCuistion will support and assist this committee.
