21st Annual Self Storage Owners Summit: Big Moves
The California Self Storage Association's 21st Annual Self Storage Owners Summit brought together self storage owners, operators, executives, investors, and Business Partners from across California for a day of education, networking, and collaboration at the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach.
Centered around the theme Big Moves, this year's Summit delivered timely discussions on leadership, market trends, legislative issues, operations, and the future of the industry. The program featured an inspiring keynote from Rick Caruso, an exclusive fireside conversation with Tom Boyle, President and CEO of Public Storage, and the popular CEO Super Session, where industry leaders shared insights on the challenges and opportunities shaping self storage today.
Advocacy remained a key focus, with legislative updates helping attendees stay informed on issues impacting California businesses. New this year, the Legislative Reception provided members with the opportunity to connect directly with elected officials and policy leaders, reinforcing CSSA's commitment to representing the industry's interests.
The Summit also introduced two exciting networking initiatives. The Young Leaders Group Breakfast welcomed emerging professionals for a morning of connection and conversation before the day's sessions, while the launch of Women of Storage created a dedicated space for women in the industry to build relationships, share experiences, and strengthen their professional networks.
Throughout the event, attendees connected with colleagues, industry experts, and Business Partners during receptions, meals, and networking breaks. These conversations continue to be one of the Summit's greatest strengths, fostering new partnerships, exchanging ideas, and creating lasting business relationships.
