The California Self Storage Association's Young Leaders Group (YLG) empowers emerging professionals to connect, learn, and grow within the self storage industry. Designed for those early in their careers or looking to expand their network, YLG provides opportunities for professional development, meaningful networking, and peer-to-peer collaboration.
YLG has quickly gained momentum through a series of successful programs. Its first webinar on maximizing networking opportunities equipped attendees with practical strategies for building meaningful relationships, increasing visibility, and creating lasting professional connections.
That momentum continued with a well-attended lunch session at the Napa Self Storage Owners Summit, featuring an engaging conversation between Paul Brown of SecureSpace, moderated by Lisa Keller of OpenTech. The discussion explored leadership development, operational insights, and the value of cross-generational collaboration, reinforcing YLG's role as a forum for meaningful professional exchange.
Most recently, YLG hosted a breakfast at the Annual Self Storage Owners Summit, giving attendees another opportunity to connect before the day's educational sessions. Bringing together emerging professionals and industry leaders for casual networking and conversations focused on career growth and the future of the self storage industry. The strong turnout further demonstrated the growing enthusiasm and engagement surrounding the Young Leaders Group.
