Registration and Hotel Room Block Now Open for the 2027 Self Storage Hawai‘i unConference
Industry gathering returns May 24–28, 2027, at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Hawai‘i Island
Missouri — September 9, 2026 — Registration and hotel reservations are now open for the 2027 Self Storage Hawai‘i unConference, taking place May 24–28, 2027, at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Hawai‘i Island.
The unConference combines focused morning sessions with open afternoons for networking, island activities and the informal conversations that have become a defining part of the event.
“This is not a conference where people sit in a meeting room all day and then disappear,” said organizer Tron Jordheim. “We bring experienced people together, give them meaningful things to discuss and leave enough room for the conversations to continue over lunch, at the pool, during an excursion or wherever people happen to meet.”
The week will begin with a Monday evening sunset welcome reception. Morning sessions Tuesday through Thursday will include featured presentations, facilitated discussions, attendee-led topics and open forums.
A centerpiece of the 2027 program will be Wednesday’s Mastermind, Hive Mind and Group Think session. Attendees will be invited to bring actual business problems, opportunities and decisions for the group to examine. Confidentiality agreements will allow participants to share financial information, operating reports, marketing results, acquisition questions, staffing challenges and other sensitive business details candidly.
The official program will conclude with a farewell breakfast Friday morning.
Optional activities will include a snorkel cruise, group luau and sunset cruise. Attendees may also use their open afternoons to golf, visit local beaches, explore North Kohala, enjoy water activities or simply continue their conversations around the resort.
A Residential Conference Experience
The Self Storage Hawai‘i unConference is designed as a residential event, with attendees encouraged to stay together at the host resort.
A special Marriott room block is now available for reservations from May 20 through June 1, allowing participants to arrive early or extend their visit through Memorial Day weekend.
Attendees who reserve through the official room-block link and stay at least three nights qualify for an additional $300 registration discount.
Rooms booked through another website or booking method, paid for entirely with Marriott Bonvoy points or located off-property will not qualify for the additional discount. Marriott Bonvoy members can earn points on qualifying paid room-block reservations.
The discounted room block contains a limited number of rooms.
